Nathan W. “Jake” Myers
Nathan W. “Jake” Myers, 81, of (Pleasant Hill) RD Philipsburg, left this life on Friday, January 24, 2025, at his residence and went to be with God in his Heavenly mansion.
He was born in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, on August 21, 1943, he was the son of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Sefcik) Myers.
He was married on August 27, 1988, in Niagara Falls, NY to his wife, Cathy (Polachek) Myers, who survives at home.
He was a 1961 graduate of the Philipsburg High School.
He was employed as a Plant Supervisor-Quality/Safety Director with Lee Industries, Inc., Philipsburg. He retired in 2008 with over 43 years of service. He also loved music and was in numerous bands as a singer and guitarist as well as a karaoke business. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Philipsburg and looked forward to attending Mass every Sunday and seeing his church family.
Jake loved the game of baseball and loved to coach baseball to the area’s youth, which he did for five decades. He had the opportunity to coach all three of his sons in baseball, coach with two of his sons, as well as watch all three of them coach baseball, softball, and basketball. He was very proud of all three of his sons and took every opportunity to tell everyone.
Jake is survived by three sons: Bill Myers and his wife, Lorie, of West Decatur, Doug Myers and his wife, Amy, of Philipsburg, and Brandon Myers and his significant other, McKalie Perks, of Philipsburg and Houtzdale, respectively. He is also survived by three granddaughters: Chasity Yeckley and her husband, James, of Osceola Mills, Taylor Myers, of Philipsburg, and Alyssa Schell and her husband Jared, of Baltimore, MD; three great-grandsons, Grayson, Nicholas, and Maverick; four sisters: Mary Sprankle, Geraldine Scott, Linda Myers and Kathy Hockenburry and her husband, Fred, all of Philipsburg; his father- and mother-in-law, Michael and Sally Polachek, of Hawk Run; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Michelle and Phil Sterling, of Littlestown, Pa., Susan & Sean Welby, of Harrisburg, Pa., Michael and Brenda Polachek, of Sheffield Village, Ohio, and Brian and Monica Polachek, of Myerstown, Pa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Daniel; two brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jacob and Sarah Myers and Dan and Luella Myers; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Arden Schultz; and two brothers-in-law, Carl Sprankle and Walter Scott.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg.
A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 406 E. Presqueisle Street, Philipsburg, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11 am, with Rev. Fr. Robert McKay, IV, celebrant.
Internment will be at Philipsburg Cemetery.

Jake loved his whole family. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend. He will be sadly missed by all.
