Daneene M. McGee, 85, of West Decatur, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Daneene was born on January 22, 1939, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Daniel and Lelia (Swatsworth) McGee.

She was a graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. She was employed for most of her working career as a home health/hospice nurse aide with Clearfield Hospital (Penn Highlands Clearfield).

She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg.

Daneene was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Kyler and a brother, Daniel McGee; in addition to her parents.

She is survived by a daughter, Holly Kephart, of Morrisdale; a son, Scott Kephart, of Chester Hill; a grandson, Matthew “Matt” Kephart and his wife, Kausha; two sisters, Melidene Shaffer, of Bellefonte and Patricia “Patsy” Smith, of Virginia; and a special nephew Michael Kyler and his wife Kerri; and numerous other extended family members.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
