Constance L. “Connie” Mann
Constance L. “Connie” Mann, 81, of Chester Hill, died Monday, December 16, 2024, at her residence.
She was born on July 1, 1943, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Robert R. and Ethel E. (Fravel) Granville.
Connie was a graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School. She was also a graduate of the LPN program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center.
She was married to Ronald L. Mann, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1971.
Early in her working career, she was employed as an LPN at the Clearfield Hospital (Penn Highlands Clearfield) and with the Aughenbaugh medical practice.
She then accepted a position in medical billing at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park Campus. She remained with Penn State until her retirement.
Connie was currently employed in a part time position at the Hometown Market in Chester Hill. Her favorite part of working at the grocery store was getting to see and talk with the regular customers.
When she wasn’t working; Connie was an avid reader. She was a kind-hearted, generous, friendly, and strong willed woman. Most importantly to her she devoted the majority of her life to her family. To her there was nothing more important.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald R. Mann; and a sister, Bobbie G. Steyer, in addition to her parents and husband.
Connie is survived by three daughters: Mary S. Byers and her fiancé John Antonuk, of Woodland, Andrea L. Peters and her husband, Craig, of Mineral Springs and Lu Ann Mann, of Chester Hill; three sons: Robert G. “Bob” Mann and his wife, Jessie, of Philipsburg, Michael L. “Mike” Mann, of Philipsburg and Bao P. Mann and his fiancee, Lien Nguyen, of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren: Colleen Byers, Markay Byers and her fiancé Rob Hill, James Minarchick, David Minarchick, Elliott Mann, Grant Mann, Maddie Mann, Nicholas Mann, Andrew Mann and his fiancée Cassy Paronish, Jacob Mann and Owen Mann; two great-grandchildren, Brantley Teats and Adelyn Hill; two sisters, Mary C. Couturiaux, of Philipsburg and Susan McGee, of Chester Hill; and numerous other extended family members.
Connie lived a life helping so many people in so many different ways. She gave so much but always asked for so little. She leaves this world a better world than when she found it.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
