I never got the chance to meet this wonderful lady! But I have the privilege of knowing her son Jeff. He is a very kind man with a great heart and he is a wonderful father. I know she was very proud of who he became and Im sure she had a lot to do with him turning out so well. My Love and prayers to all the family.

Dear Kolosky Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Mom, Grandma, Sister. I am from Hawk Run also and have thought about Aggie and Joe Vavreck, always wondering where they had located. I never thought to ask Ben the many times I have seen him over the years when I went to visit my Mom. Our homes are almost directly across from each other in town back there. We are on the lower road the the Vavreck home is on the second street. I relocated here in Clev in 1966 and had I just inquired about Aggie I could have contacted her and talked about all the people we knew in town….which would have been everyone….. I feel so bad that I missed the opportunity to do so. I know the family well, having Bernadette as our chior director all my life in church and now seeing her for many years as my husband John is from the Houtzdale area so we went to church lots of our life there and see her in church and various places, we knew her Husband also. I don’t know why I never asked them about the brothers and sisters that were not living in the area. I wonder if my Mom knew she spent time in Philipsburg and that she lived out here .My Mom passed away 14 months ago, two months shy to the day of her 90 th Birthday…we still have not done anything with her things or our home, its a long grieving process and none of us kids are ready to deal with the cleaning house, so our family home sits there.
I work at the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc on Chagrin Blvd in Beachwood Ohio, have been here 22 years. Its a Fraternal Life insurance Company.
Again please accept my sympathy on your loss, it does not make it easier but you will find you feel her presence at times and its a good feeling. Keep her picture out and talk to her, that helps too. With Sympathy, Barb (Patrick) Shedlock
