A real pleasure to have known Tom. He was always chirpy with a huge welcoming smile.
Tom was an avid and spirited golfer who took his game seriously.
I'm sure right now, he's eager to play with someone.
"Hey Tom, finish up your putting practice and let's get going"
Thanks for the memories.

Tom was a great man and one of the nicest men that i ever met. Alan, Mary Jo, and family, I wish you peace. Tom will always be remembered for welcoming everyone in his shop and discussing whatever sport happened to be in season.
When my grandfather Hamer could no longer go to the shop, Tom would walk to his house and cut his hair. That was greatly appreciated.
God Bless,
Tom Gould JR.

Tom has left us to be with his beloved Lee.
When we think of Tom, we remember a man devoted to his faith, family and his friends whom he loved dearly and was truly loved in return.
It was such a joy to have known Tom, albeit a short period of 9 years at Old Bridge Village.
To all the Irvin family we extend our deepest sympathy.

Alan, Tommy, Phil, and Mary Jo , first I would like to extend my condolences on the loss of your mother Lee. I was not aware till today of her passing in June. I am sincerely sorry about the passing of your dad. He was a wonderful, kind, and compassionate man! I fondly remember when we would come up from York and there would be egg salad sandwiches and an NA brew or two waiting for us. Before the meal, we would have to change into an old pair of jeans and a comfortable sweatshirt! He once said to me when I ran into him at the grocery store, whenever I see a sweatshirt I think of you. I often thought, on Father's Day, I would have liked to have given him a sweatshirt because on the front it would read "This is what a real dad looks like!" He was like a father to me and I will cherish those memories forever.

Dear Tommy Jr, Philip, Alan, and Mary Jo,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Your parents were the absolute best neighbors a person could ask for. Tom had a bright, welcoming smile for everyone he met. He could be found doing yard work, walking around the track or around the neighborhood. His stamina amazed me. Your parents devoted faith in God and each other were an inspiration. God Bless you all, and take peace in knowing how loved your parents were by so many, many people, and that they are now together for all eternity.
Love,
Leslie & Dave Shelleman

We have known Tom, and Lee, for over 50 years and considered both as friends. Tom was also a friend to my mom and dad and my uncle George Smotzer. I believe Tom was a friend to everyone he met. I enjoyed his company at his vacation home in Fort Myers. and , enjoyed his friendship on the golf course. I will miss him. I'm a better person for having had Tom as a friend. GOD bless him.

Unfortunately I will be out of town attending my father in law's funeral and I would like to pass on my condolences to Tom's family. Tom was very well liked and respected--always had a smile on his face. I played cards with Tom on the first Monday of the month the past 15 years and he was quite the card player--if Tom stayed in the hand to the 6th-7th card we knew he was going to win at least half the pot!! His favorite game was 7 card hi-lo--- and we would call it Tom's game!! And he loved having a beer or 2!!!
When Tom played golf some of us would arrive at 8 a.m. and Tom would be finishing his 9 holes--he always had his pants rolled up to keep the grass and dew off of them. No matter his score he was always cheerful.
Finally, Tom always asked how my son was doing since my son lived in Pittsburgh and was a Pirate fan like Tom.
Tom was one of a kind---he will always be remembered and we will toast him at our next card game!!

I remember getting haircuts at Tom Irvin's barbershop on Pine Street. He was an excellent barber.
