I did not know Chuck as well as I would have liked but being a friend to Nina, he was willing to help me with my HVAC problems without a second thought.
I have two fond memories of Chuck, the first being playing Scrabble at their house in Martinsburg. We sat around the kitchen table, the three of us had a blast Cuttin Up with each other. He had such a great sense of humor.
The second memory is of Nina and Chuck helping me plant daylilies in my yard that Nina had graciously given to me. At that time he realized what was happening to him but he seemed to be having a particularly good day that day. I remember him saying to me, ” it’s hard when you can’t remember the simple things”. I had a great time that day with both Chuck and Nina. I hoped they would both remember it the same way. Chuck you will be missed!
