Judith was born on May 26, 1948, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late John “Yuk” and Mary Helen (Pleskonko) Ellis.

When she was a bit older, she then began breeding, raising and showing English Cocker Spaniels. She owned and operated her own business, Wedgewood Kennels, where she groomed and boarded dogs for many years. Later on in her career, she began breeding, raising and showing Serval, Bengal and Sphinx cats. She was also credited with breeding the very first Savannah Cat, aptly named “Savannah,” on April 7, 1986. The last breed that she enjoyed working with are known as “Munchkin” cats.
Judee was married in December 2008 to Ralph Biddlecomb. Ralph preceded her in death on July 30, 2012.
She was also preceded in death by her former husband, John W. “Jack” Frank, Jr. and a brother, John G. Ellis, in addition to her parents.
