Helen L. Dugan
Helen L. Dugan, 90, of Philipsburg, PA and formerly of Tyrone, PA died on Wednesday, July 23 2014 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg, PA.
Born February 13, 1924 in Houtzdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Haney) Dugan.
She was a member of the Saint Matthew’s Catholic Church in Tyrone, PA and was a member of the Peer Group while residing at Windy Hill Village. Ms. Dugan was employed by with the Chicago Rivet Factory in Tyrone, PA until her retirement and was a 1942 graduate of the Houtzdale High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, and five brothers.
Ms. Dugan is survived by a sister, Rita Catherine Evanochko of Philipsburg, PA; two nieces, Patricia L. Lobb and Jennifer R. Laws-Gillam & her husband James “Lew” Gillam all of Philipsburg, PA; a nephew, Jeffrey Laws & his wife Susan of Dickerson, MD; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg, PA with Rev. Robert J. Kelly celebrant. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 and on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at the Beezer-Heath funeral Home in Philipsburg, PA. The Rosary will be be recited on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
