Charlene J. Buck
Charlene J. Buck, 77, of Clearfield, and formerly of Frenchville, died Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Charlene was born on May 5, 1947, in Clearfield; she was adopted and raised by her grandparents, the late Kyle E. and Rozella G. Luzier.
During the latter part of her working career, she was employed as an associate at the Sheetz convenience store formerly located at N. 3rd and E. Market St., in Clearfield, until her retirement.
During her years of employment with Sheetz, many of the locals knew her by the nickname, “Charlie.”
Charlene was a member of the Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles; and she was a member and past-officer of the LeContes Mills Fire Co.
Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed playing Bingo, going to watch races at the local tracks, watching NASCAR races on TV and spending time with her beloved Yorkie mix, Cookie.
Charlene was married to William Ardell Buck, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Buck; and a fiance, R. Paul Martell, Jr.
Charlene is survived by a son, Randy Lee Buck, of Smiths, Alabama; a granddaughter Michele Lee Williams-Maines of Frenchville; five other grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, (including Hayden Michael Williams, whom she raised); three sisters; two brothers; and numerous other extended family members.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Philipsburg.
