Dear Andrea,
We’re so truly sorry to hear this.
Richard was one of our classes iconic sweethearts, in that he loved us as much as we truly loved him. The band kids & the football guys had a natural school affinity for one another, especially at our practice sessions. He made our memories humorous, happy & sweet .
We loved him .
He told Renzie & I, at our little reunion dinners, how much he loved you & all the children. That’s a wonderful thing to have in a family & you all made him so proud & very content. GOD bless each & every one of You. Matt.5:4

Sorry for your loss. He was always friendly, kind and enjoyed telling me about his kids and grandchildren. He was proud of you all.

I knew Rich a little at West Branch since my father taught there. But I got to know him a lot better as our electrician at HRB Singer. He did a lot of work wiring and rewiring our photo labs everytime changes came down by new equipment.
Rich was a real character. He was hooking up a new film processor at 240 volts in my photo lab at HRB and just playing around said this: “Watch what happens when I do this!” He shorted out the leads in the breaker box with a giggle and a spray of sparks. Suddenly the whole facility lost power. He had a look of real dread on his face. Luckily, it had been someone else in the tunnel under the street connecting the 2 buildings who had cut the wrong wire. Rich never did that again. Guys like him don’t come around often.
My sincerest sympathies to his family and friends. Rich is a person that one remembers and misses forever. May God bless and keep you and give you a lifetime of wonderful memories of this wonderful guy.
