Melissa Taylor from EHCA
Bill was a tremendous person. He could do anything he put his mind to. He had a quest to do and experience all that he could. He was determined and unstoppable. It was that drive and excitement that drew people to him. His enthusiasm was contagious. It was a joy and a privilege to know him. I’m sure he is still going and smiling in Heaven right now. love you Bill.

Bill will be missed by so many. He was a gentle soul who was humorous and caring. All of his former and current care givers who loved Bill and gave him their best I believe will forever hold a special place in Bill’s heart and home. Bill could lift your spirits with just a look. I will miss you Bill. You will hold a special place in my heart forever. Thank you for making my life a brighter place! And to his family… I’m so sorry for your loss. May your memories of Bill give you peace.

Bill was one of the first residents I met when I started at EHCA 10 years ago. He was still in MOVE when they had the suite downtown, and my office was across from Debra’s on the 2nd floor. I think I loved him from the first time I met him. Such an amazing guy, always wanting to do things for other people – he made me want to be a better person, and really changed the way I look at the world. He almost always had a laugh and that huge grin…especially when he was being a stinker. I used to call him Debra’s supervisor, because she would lay out dried flowers and he would tell her what he liked and didn’t like…sometimes I think he would make her change things around to see how many times he could get her to do it. Then he would laugh and laugh. I am going to miss that laugh every day, and I am so sorry for your loss. I think he is with Ron and other family members and friends now. No one hurting or tired, just loving life and waiting to see everyone again. He will be missed by so many people.

I met Billy when he was 17 years old. I told him my name was Laura. He immediately called me “Lala” and laughed hysterically. I understood his humor when he called another person over to meet me and addressed her by the same nickname. Over the years I was updated on his progress, his interests and successes. I was so glad to have met him. Over the years, many of my favorite people called or call me “Lala”. I often thought of Billy through all of these new joyful connections.
Hugs to the family, including EHCA.
