My deepest sympathies to all his family and friends. Jim was a good friend during school days and was always honest, cheerful, and uplifting, a lesson we all might learn. His smile and friendship will be missed by those who knew him. We all have troubles and afflictions in life but for Jim this pilgrimage is over and may God rest his soul.

Dear Barb,
I want to express my deepest sympathy due to the loss of Jim. I would like to do it personally but I am in Florida at this time. Jim was a student in the P.O.D. class that I taught in 1963-64. Jim was also a friend since those school years. I got to see Jim every year on Memorial Day weekend. Jim was with his brothers and relatives at the IOOF Cemetery in Brisbin visiting his parents' graves. God Bless you and family.

Fishing Camp won't be the same without our old buddy "Hey Jim". He has been a great friend to many and instrumental in the lives of more kids than I could ever mention. Barb, I'm not sure I can fill Jim's shoes in making all those pancakes on opening day of fishing season, but I'll do my best.
Tom and Gigi Sayers
We were saddened when we learned of the passing of Jim. He was a good friend in our younger days. We remember his love of listening to oldies, especially songs of the 50's. He was always happy, smiling, and friendly to everyone. We hope you find comfort in your special memories of Jim. Our prayers are with you.
PATTY GULBERNAT GOLDMAN
I was sadden to hear of Jimmy's death. He was my first boyfriend ( of course that was in second & third grade ). We were some of the original Houtzdale kids. His father, Dr. Mills was our family dentist for years. We attended school, sporting events & dances all in Houtzdale. It was not until our senior year when the districts combined that we attended MVH. I remember Jimmy fondly & I'm grateful for the memories. With deepest sympathy, Patty Gulbernat

"Crunchy Waffle Man" Crunch for short,
My brother and I used to call Jim that after a cartoon character that sold waffle's, because of his bushy mustache. I have many fond memories of hunting at camp, fishing on the first day of trout season at Mountain Branch, and stopping to see him at work in Philipsburg. He always had a smile on his face and made me laugh often as a young boy and teenager. Tight lines crunch, rest in peace. My condolences to his family.
Connie Kowalcyk Cavell
We attended school together from 1st through graduation. I have a lot of good memories of that time. We shared a lot of laughs.
Thoughts and prayers to your family
