Wonderful guy that will be sadly missed by everyone!

Pat would probably say that he just got his name in the newspaper. We always joked about that. He was a good friend and a harder worker you could not find. Many times after baling and hauling hay in the hot summer months we would go dipping in Cold Stream. Winter time we would be on the sleds or toboggan on Watson’s hill. A conversation with Pat was like a novel. Separating fact from fiction could be very difficult at times but there was always a lot of serious laughs. Some great memories were shared with him and he will be truly missed. Rest in Peace my friend and don’t forget to watch for my name in the newspaper. It won’t be long now. God Bless. Ted

To the boys and Tara. Your dad and I shared many good times together in the drivers room at Petroleum Products Terminal in Altoona. He was a great friend and a crazy guy. I used to like it when every now and then my phone would ring generally on a Sunday evening and it was him calling. He always say how are you doing you old farmer. And then he would say bet you don’t know who this is do ya. Of course I would because you knew his voice and how he talked.
Im glad I stopped a couple of years ago and took him along to Warren Pa. And spent most of the day together ( the last I talked to him) I would have called him but the only phone number I had was his house number and I understood he didn’t have it anymore. But I will truly miss him and feel sorry to know he is not here with us anymore.
My condolence goes out to all you people in his family. I know he will surely missed and loved.

There are three kinds of family; those you are born into, those you marry into and those you choose to be a part of. The Thompsons are the family we choose. You’ve all made us feel like a part of your family, and we share in the sad times as well as the good times. We are here for you, whatever you need. Much love and sympathy.

Sad to learn of the passing of such a sweet and wonderful man. Pat meant a lot to so many people, especially those who got to have the privilege of being family to him. He was a source of laughter and wisdom, and some darned good advice when he thought someone needed it. The amount of pain felt at his loss is only allowed because of the amount of love there was. One could not exist without the other. Our deepest prayers and sympathy goes out to each one of you, that we have known as friends for so long. Love to all of you!!
