Lisa A. Hubler
Lisa A. Hubler, 60, of State College and formerly of Philipsburg, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Lisa was born on July 14, 1964, in Philipsburg, a daughter of Charles E. “Boots” and Judith A. “Judy” (Crain) Hubler, of Philipsburg.
She was a graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola Area School District. She also attended the Skills of Central Pa and Sunny Days programs.
Lisa was a longtime member of the Strawberry Fields community in State College. She resided in the same home for the past 36 years and she just loved her caregivers and fellow residents. She loved to bring a little joy to everyone she met and made numerous friends in her community. She was awarded the Stephen C. Joyce Consumer Award twice during her years with Strawberry Fields.
Among her favorite pastimes, Lisa loved to paint, put together puzzles, play on her iPad and going out to eat. She was also an “Avon Lady” for a period of time. However, nothing made her day like a day out shopping with the girls.
Lisa was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her parents, “Boots” and “Judy,” of Philipsburg; two sisters, Kimberly A. Kessler and her husband, Bill, of Altoona and Leanne Zawicki and her husband, Carl, of Pittsburgh; a brother, Gregory A. Hubler and his wife, Julie, of Morrisdale; numerous nieces, nephews, great – nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 3:00 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., with Pastor Laura Kyler, officiating.
A visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
Interment will be in Palestine United Methodist Cemetery, RD Morrisdale.
