Vernon A. “Butch” White
Vernon A. “Butch” White, 50, of Clearfield, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Vernon was born on February 3, 1972, in Clearfield, a son of the late William A. and Shirley G. “Buttercup” (Welch) White.
He was employed during his working career with several area logging companies.
He was a member of the Curwensville Christian Church.
Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed fishing, loved working on cars and spending time with his two best friends, Tim Smeal and Eli Welch-Selfridge.
He is survived by a daughter, Jenna A. White and her companion, Alan Cantolina, of Clearfield; two sons, Tanner A. White and Chael G. White, both of Drifting; a sister, Beulah M. “Penny” White, of Clearfield; an aunt, Kimberly M. Selfridge and her husband, William “Bill,” of Woodland; the mother of his daughter and former companion, Chris Lanich, of Curwensville; his beloved cat, Bella; and numerous other extended family members.
Butch was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; and a brother in law, George V. Lewis, Jr., in addition to his parents.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 4 pm, at the Hyde Volunteer Fire Company Social Center, 1618 Washington Ave, Clearfield, Pa.
