Photo of Edward J. CovalEdward J. Coval, 84, of Hawk Run died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Windy Hill Village, P.S.L., Philipsburg.

Born on July 15, 1931 in Hawk Run, he was a son of the late John H. and Anna M. (Yuhas) Coval.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred and Josephine Coval and an infant brother, John.

Mr. Coval was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run and was a member of the Lincoln Slovak Club, also of Hawk Run.

He had been employed for 21 years with the General Cigar Company of Philipsburg and then worked for 13 years with the Piper Aircraft Corporation in Quehanna, until retiring.

On August 25, 1956 in Philipsburg, he married the former Dolores “Dolly” M. Pepperday, who survives at home.  Also surviving is a sister, Martha Kashtock, of Hawk Run.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run, with Rev. Robert J. Horgas as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Hawk Run.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 27, 2016, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg.  The rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
