Donald E. Beck

Donald E. Beck, 77, of South Philpsburg died Thursday, November 5, 2015 at his residence.

Born on April 18, 1938 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Clarence and Catherine Sarah (McDonald) Beck.

He was a member of the New Life Center, Philipsburg.

Mr. Beck was a heavy equipment operator with the coal industry until his retirement.

On July 11, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Philipsburg he wed the former Patricia E. Vaux. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2013.

Mr. Beck is survived by a daughter, Beverly R. Boulton and her husband Randy of South Philipsburg; a son, Barry A. Beck of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Frank of Loch Haven; and a brother, Thomas “Tucker” Beck and his wife, Renee of Philipsburg. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Misty (Boulton) Dixon and her husband Merlyn, Dusty Boulton and Bethany Boulton, all of South Philipsburg; a great-grandson Joseph Samuel Dixon, all of South Philipsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg with Pastor John T. Dill officiating. Interment will be at Philipsburg Cemetery.
