Don W. Williams
Don W. Williams, 73, of Altoona and formerly of Clearfield, died Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at UPMC Altoona.
Don was born on October 21, 1952, in Clearfield, a son of the late Elton C. Williams and Minnie C. (Myers) Williams.
He was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School.
Early in his working career, Don was employed with Clearfield Hardware and the maintenance department at CNB Bank. He was then employed for a period of time in the construction industry. However, he spent most of his working career as a service station attendant with the Martin Oil Company, Altoona. He retired from Martin Oil with 23 years of service.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Katina Marie Williams and a sister, Kathleen Hooven.
He is survived by three daughters: Stephanie E. Bryner (David), of Bruceton, West Virginia, Dawn Dennis (Daniel), of Clearfield and Melynda S. “Mindy” Williams (Chad Summers), of Bruceton, West Virginia; eight grandchildren: Veronica, Makayla, Lindsey, Dominic, Rosaleigh, Reese, Jeremiah and MaryAnn; a brother, David L. Williams, Altoona; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Among his favorite pastimes, Don was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Mark Martin. He also enjoyed watching football games and his favorite show was Star Trek. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years.
The family will receive guests to celebrate Don’s life on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg.
