Katherine A. Walker

Katherine A. Walker, 80, of Tyrone and formerly of Sandy Ridge and Falls Church, Virginia; died Friday, October 3, 2025, at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone.

Katherine was born on August 16, 1945, in (North) Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Norman L. and Dorothy J. (Wilson) Crago.

She was a 1963 graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola High School. She was employed during her working career with the US Fish and Wildlife Services, Arlington, Virginia. She served as a Supervisory Administrative Officer with the agency and retired with 25 years of service.

Katherine was previously a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Philipsburg, where she had served as a member of the Vestry and church choir. She was currently a member of Trinity United Methodist, Philipsburg. Katherine was also a member of the former Philipsburg Community Chorus and the former Philipsburg Pennhurst Players.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; a brother, John Michael Crago; and her former husband, James L. Walker.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly A. Frank and her husband Brian, of Sandy Ridge; a son, Raymond J. Walker, of Hawk Run; five grandchildren: Jacob, Joshua, Riley, Chad and Anna; a sister, Mona J. Wood, of Tyrone; a brother, Robert Crago, of Laurel, Maryland; a daughter-in-law, Lisa (Condon) Walker, of Osceola Mills; and numerous other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Julia Piper, officiating.

The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.

Internment will be in Ashcroft Cemetery, Hawk Run.
