Robert E. “Bob” Vaux

Robert E. “Bob” Vaux, 80, of (New Liberty) RD Philipsburg, died Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on March 19, 1945, in Philipsburg, a son of the late Charles J. and Sarah C. (Malloy) Vaux.

Early in his working career, Bob was employed as a lineman. However, for most of his career he was employed as a sawyer for Walker Lumber Company, Woodland and for Reese Lumber Company, (Bald Eagle) RD Tyrone.

He was married on August 2, 1969, in Wallaceton, to the former Elva Louise Conklin; who survives at home.

He is also survived by a daughter, Sherry L. Baughman and her husband Douglas, of Philipsburg; a son, Robert E. Vaux, Jr., of Philipsburg; five grandchildren: Tyler D. Baughman and his wife, Courtney, of Spring Grove, Pa., Kathleen M. Henry and her husband, Sage, of Philipsburg, Jesse S. Baughman and his wife, Emily “Liz,” of Shippensburg, Pa., Craig C. Vaux, of Osceola Mills and Darian D. Vaux, of Bedford; five great-grandchildren: Everett and Eliza Baughman, Emma and Alley Henry and Henry Vaux; a brother, Walter Vaux and his wife, Patricia, of Osceola Mills; and numerous other extended family members.

Bob was preceded in death by a brother, John C. Vaux and an infant sister, Della Vaux, in addition to his parents.

Among his favorite pastimes, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
