Tracie T. (Trinidad) Ruggiero
Tracie T. (Trinidad) Ruggiero, 58, of RD Morrisdale, died Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tracie was born on January 8, 1968, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of the late Tito B. Trinidad, M.D. and Marilyn R. (Cook) Trinidad.
She was a 1986 graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School. She was also a 1991 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in education.
Early in her working career, Tracie was employed for about seven years in the housing and food service departments at Penn state’s University Park Campus. She then accepted a position with the Commonwealth of Pa. as a Public Communications Operator (PCO) for the Pa. State Police. Over the course of eighteen years, she was stationed at the Huntingdon, Philipsburg and Rockview barracks. Later in her career, she accepted a position as an operator with the Pa. Department of Transportation at their Traffic Management Center in Clearfield. She remained with Penn DOT until her retirement in July 2025.
Tracie was married on February 22, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Mark D. Ruggiero, who survives at home.
She is also survived by three brothers: Terry P. Trinidad (Vicki), of Woodland, Pa., Tito A. “Tony” Trinidad, Jr., of South Carolina and Todd C. Trinidad (Heather), of Clearfield, Pa.; and numerous other extended family members.
Among her favorite pastimes, Tracie enjoyed traveling, swimming and “livin’ the beach life.”
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Inurnment will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery Columbarium.
