I always enjoyed talking to Amy at the bank on her way to work. She was always smiling and pleasant. She really loved her dogs as I did so we talked a lot about our dogs. I am so sorry she lost her fight but she now has peace. My sincere condolences to her family.

I worked with Amy for nearly 20 years and in that time she became a good friend. She was so loved by our crew, not to mention all of her regular guests (and there were many). I’ll miss our talks, her laugh, and her unwavering kindness and care even when I knew she wasn’t feeling her best. Work will never be the same without her. I’ll carry her in my heart always. All my love to her family

I’ve known Amy and worked with her since I’ve moved in State College, Pa 12 years ago. She was the light of every single Sunday brunch at the Penn Stater. Amy has been an inspiration to so many of us — from her strength to her unforgettable laugh that could be heard from across the room, to the warmth and kindness she showed every guest. She always welcomed everyone with a genuine smile and a big heart. She is by so many of us and we missed her so dearly.

Along with Sheri, I was her longest term co-worker. I went out of my way to try to be scheduled on her shifts knowing what a pleasure it was to work with her and also knowing she’d always show up and always be reliable team mate. Her courage in dealing with the dreaded C word for many years was inspiring. Her empathy with our guests and her # of ‘regulars’ was unsurpassed. Proud of myself for only shedding 31 tears when I heard the news

To the family of Amy,
Please know how sorry I am to hear about her passing. I only knew her from her working at Red Lobster and the Penn Stater. She was always a joy. When I would have dinner and sometimes have my parents, she was so sweet and caring especially to my father. We always looked forward to her being our server. I knew of her many battles with her health but she remained strong and positive which I admired. She was a light to the world even with her own struggles. I/we will miss her. Peace to you all.
