Mark D. Dixon
Mark D. Dixon, 66, of Philipsburg, and formerly of Morrisdale, died Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Mark was born on July 12, 1959, in Philipsburg, a son of the late Vernon V. and June A. (Graham) Dixon.
He was a graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School.
Mark was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, Bigler.
Although Mark was hampered by a long term physical disease; he did not let that deter him from taking the opportunity to talk to people about his faith and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His favorite song was “Jesus Use Me.”
Among his hobbies, Mark enjoyed going for rides on the Ferris wheels and he loved animals, especially horses.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Elishia J. (Baney) Holsinger.
He is survived by two sisters, Shelly D. Crain and her husband, Max J. Crain, Sr., of (Gearhartville) RD Philipsburg and Bernice R. Baney and her husband, Pastor Michael Baney of Hawk Run; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Noon, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with Pastor Michael Baney, brother-in-law of the deceased, officiating.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the service.
Internment will be in Centre Cemetery, RD Osceola Mills.
