Mark R. Byers

Mark R. Byers, 64, of Philipsburg, died February 9, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was born on September 6, 1961, in Philipsburg, a son of Della Martin, of Philipsburg and the late Richard “Dick” Byers.

During his working career, he was employed as a fuel truck driver for JJ Powell, of (Chester Hill) RD Philipsburg.

Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed listening to music. However, his true passion in life was tending to his yardwork. He was meticulous and took great pride in his work; whether it was cutting grass, shoveling snow or tending to the area of N. 2nd. Street near his home.

Mark is survived by two daughters, Colleen Byers and Markay Byers and her fiance, Rob Hill, all of Osceola Mills; two grandchildren, Brantley Teats and Adelyn Hill, both of Osceola Mills; four sisters: Kimberly Green, of Altoona, Tammy Owens and her husband, Dave, of Winburne, Marci Byers, of Philipsburg and Crystal Miller, of Philipsburg; a brother, Patrick Byers, of Philipsburg; his former spouse, Mary S. (Mann) Byers, of Woodland; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
