Brent D. Ammerman
Brent D. Ammerman, 42, of (Chester Hill) RD Philipsburg, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Parkesburg, Chester Co., Pa., while working away on storm.
Brent was born on January 11, 1983, in State College, a son of Douglas G. “Doug” and Patricia A. “Patty” (Deliman) Ammerman of Chester Hill.
He was a 2001 graduate of the Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School. He furthered his education at the Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport; He then attended Triangle Tech, DuBois, where he received an associate degree in welding.
Brent was currently employed as a journeyman lineman with the IBEW, Local #126, Houtzdale, Pa.; where most of his jobs involved storm repair work throughout Pennsylvania and the Northeastern United States.
Among his favorite pastimes, Brent loved deer hunting and he enjoyed spending time at Stoney Point Camp. He had a Can-Am side-by-side and enjoyed going riding with his family and friends. While out on the trail, Brent made a point of leaving the trail “cleaner than he found it.” He was also very mechanically inclined and would spend hours working in his garage on various projects.
He is survived by his parents, Doug and Patty; a sister, Morgan E. Jurewicz and her husband, Dan, of Sandy Ridge; a brother, Dr. Kurt D. Ammerman and his wife, Kaylee, of Kinsey, Montana; the following nieces and nephews: Layla and Franklin Jurewicz and Elsie, Kaleb, Cecelia and Amelia Ammerman; his beloved Aussie Shepherd, “Sako;” and numerous other extended family members.
Brent was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John M. Deliman, Ph.D. and Dolores A. (Morgan) Deliman; and his paternal grandparents, E. Gifford and Katherine (Comly) Ammerman.
Brent was Catholic by faith.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11 am, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 400 S. 4th. Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. Matthias Rendon, O.F.M., celebrant.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 4 until 6 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg; and on Monday, from 10 until 10:30 am, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, RD Philipsburg.
