Mildred H. (Klinger) Woods
Mildred H. (Klinger) Woods, 95 of Scottsbluff, NE passed away on Wednesday, July, 18, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Woods was born on March 22, 1917 in Ansonville, PA, the daughter of the late Harvey & Grace (Bloom) Klinger. She was married on December 12, 1933 in Hagerstown, MD to Earl W. Woods who preceded her in death on September 8, 2003.
Mrs. Woods was member of the Church of the Nazarene, Plattsburgh, NY. She attended Clearfield High School in Clearfield, PA and she was employed with Occidental Petroleum, Niagara Falls, NY until her retirement.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a granddaughter, Amy Beth Wooden; two sisters Lydia Knepp and Kathryn Rishell; and five brothers, William Klinger, Harold Klinger, Charles Klinger, Kenneth Klinger and Robert Stevens.
Mrs. Woods is survived by: two daughters, Shirley Wooden & her husband Ronald of Scottsbluff, NE and Carol Lombard & her husband James of Cadyville, NY; four grandchildren, Pam Gibb of Scottsbluff, NE, Rhonda Trojan and her husband Bobbie of Fairbanks, AK, Matthew Lombard of Roanoke, VA, and Andrew Lombard and his wife Michele of San Diego, CA; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Reidy Cemetery in Wallaceton, PA with James L. Lombard, son-in-law of the deceased, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mildred’s memory to either the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, 1305 West 20th Street, Scottsbluff, NE 69361 or Prairie Haven Hospice, Regional West Plaza North, Two West 42nd Street, Scottsbluff, NE 69361.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home.
