H. Lucille “Lucy” Williams

H. Lucille “Lucy” Williams, 83, of Philipsburg, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at her residence.

Lucy was born on May 19, 1934, in Port Matilda.

She graduated from high school and was a devoted homemaker and caregiver her entire career.

She had been a member of Fountain of Life Church, RD Philipsburg, for 30 years.

Lucy was married in Port Matilda, to Merrill K. Williams, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; an infant son; one daughter and her husband, Darlene F. (Williams) Nearhood and Randy R. Nearhood, Sr.; one grandson, Merrill K. Nearhood; a sister, Irene Emerton; and one brother, “Poodle” Stine.

Lucy is survived by one grandson, Randy R. Nearhood, Jr.; four great-grandchildren: Randy Nearhood, III, Mercedes Nearhood, Destiny Nearhood and Vegas Nearhood; and numerous extended family members.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 7:30 pm, at the Fountain of Life Church, RD Philipsburg, with Rev. Dewey Evans, officiating.

Interment will be in Black Oak Cemetery, (Flat Rock) Port Matilda.
