Photo of Pauline VerostPauline F. Verost, 90, of Philipsburg, PA  passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Michael “Mike” and Mary (Werba) Fetcenko, born on August 7, 1923 in Philipsburg, PA.  She married Andrew V. Verost on February 12, 1944 at the Saints Peter &  Paul Catholic Church in Hawk Run, PA.  He preceded her in death on September 11, 2003.

She was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg and was a member of the Jednota Lodge, Branch 134 in Grassflat, PA.  Pauline enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and completing word puzzles.  Her family was the love of her life, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She assisted her husband in the operation of their family business, Andy Verost Used Cars, in Philipsburg from 1949-1985.

In addition to her parents & husband, Mrs. Verost was preceded in death by: three brothers, George, Thomas and Mitchell Fetcenko; and a sister, Dorothy Fetcenko.

She is survived by: a daughter, Elaine M. Verost & her fiance, Nick Sabella, Jr. of  Philipsburg, PA; two sons, James L. Verost & his companion Donna R. Bell of Philipsburg, PA  and Dennis M. Verost of Philipsburg, PA; three sisters, Margaret Salvatore & her husband Paul of Clearfield, PA, Mary Swansegar of Philipsburg, PA, and Irene Engel & her husband John of Elyria, OH; and two brothers, Lawrence Fetcenko & his wife Liese of North Ridgeville, OH and Raymond Fetcenko & his wife Barbara of Elyria, OH.  She is also survived by:  two grandchildren, Michelle Cowder & her husband Aaron of Kylertown, PA and Laurie Verost of Morrisdale, PA; five great-grandchildren, Haley, Jenna, Luke, Lily & Noelle Cowder, all of Kylertown, PA; a former daughter in-law, Cathie Verost of Morrisdale, PA; and several nieces & nephews.

The Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg, PA; with Rev. Robert J. Kelly, celebrant.  Burial will be at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA.

At Mrs. Verost’s request, visitation will be private.
