Christine Ann Vaux

Christine Ann Vaux, 57, of State College and formerly of Philipsburg, died Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Embassy of Hearthside, State College.

Christine was born on September 7, 1964, in Spokane, Washington, a daughter of Carl C. Vaux, Jr. and Corrine A. (Hendrickson) Vaux, who survive of Philipsburg.

Christine was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. She was a 1986 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School Special Education Program.

She then relocated to a group home in State College in 1997 that was administered by Strawberry Fields. She also attended the programs offered by Skills of Central Pa during the 24 years that she was part of the State College Strawberry Fields community.

Christine is survived by her parents, Carl and Corrine; her two sisters, Cheryl C. Coudriet and her husband, Dave, of West Decatur and Cathy A. Wisor and her husband, Jason, of Fombell, Pa.; a brother, Carl “Andrew” Vaux (Christa), of Phoenix, Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Christine was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Orval and Ruth (Coleman) Hendrickson; and her paternal grandparents, Carl and Emmaline (Eyerly) Vaux.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
