Luis Miguel Urizar

Luis Miguel Urizar, 59, of West Decatur, and formerly of West Palm Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Miguel was born on April 23, 1960, in West Palm Beach, a son of the late Luis M. and Beverly Y. (Brown) Urizar.

Miguel was a 1978 graduate of West Palm Beach High School. He was of the Catholic faith.

Miguel spent his late teens and most of his 20’s traveling with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. His talents included trapeze and high wire acts.

Miguel is survived by his companion of 26 years, Jeffrey A. Riser, of West Decatur.

He is also survived by a sister and a niece, Susana L. Urizar, and her daughter, Isabella Rowe, both of West Palm Beach; and numerous other extended family members.

Miguel loved animals and nature. He was a kind and considerate soul who left his imprint on many lives. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his partner, Jeff. There will be no public visitation or memorial service. A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
