Anna C. Twoey
Anna C. Twoey, 90, of (North) Philipsburg, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at her residence.
Anna was born on June 16, 1927, in (North) Philipsburg, a daughter of Michael and Mary (Smerick) Pavlick, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg. She was a 1946 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. She was dedicated to her family and home her entire life.
Anna was married on August 31, 1946, in Philipsburg, to Raymond E. Twoey, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 13, 1982.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters: Margaret Eberwein, Mary Bennett, Katherine Sandy, Frances “Tillie” Albert and Rosella Lombardo; and three brothers: Charles, Michael and George Pavlick.
She is survived by three daughters: Barbara Ann Greenia and her husband, Reed, of Hellertown, Delores Marie Volk and her husband, Gary, of Chester Hill and Catherine J. Twoey, of (North) Philipsburg; one son Raymond E. Twoey, Jr. and his wife, Marian “Weezie”, of (Gearhartville) RD Philipsburg; one sister, Esther Potter, of Bellmeade; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 11:00 am at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 400 S. 4th. Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. John Gibbons, celebrant.
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass.
Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, (Tyrone Pike) RD Philipsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s memory to the SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 400 S. Front Street, Philipsburg, Pa 16866.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg.
