Tito B. Trinidad

Tito B. Trinidad, M.D., 81, of Clearfield and formerly of Philipsburg, died Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Mountain Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Tito was born in Cebu City, Philippines, a son of the late Mariano and Maria (Bascon) Trinidad.

Tito grew up and was educated in the Philippines. After medical school, he moved to the United States to complete his internship and residency training.

His career as a physician included the former Philipsburg State General Hospital, Moshannon Valley Medical Center (Geisinger) and later in his career, a private practice office in Clearfield.

Tito was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg.

Tito was married on September 9, 1965, in Greensburg, (Pa.), to the former Marilyn R. Cook, who preceded him in death on December 13, 2005.

He was also preceded in death by a brother in addition to his parents and wife, Marilyn.

Tito is survived by one daughter, Tracie H. Trinidad, of Morrisdale; three sons: Terry P. Trinidad, of Woodland, Tito A. “Tony” Trinidad, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada and Todd C. Trinidad and his wife, Heather, of Clearfield; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Ester Trinidad Saguisag, of the Philippines and Lilia Trinidad Yalong, of San Jose, California; four brothers: Vicente Trinidad, of San Jose, Nilo Trinidad, of Baltimore, Maryland, Rene Trinidad, of Las Vegas and Fiel Trinidad of Modesto, of San Jose; and numerous other extended family members.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11 am, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 400 S. 4th. Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. John Gibbons, celebrant.

Inurnment will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery Columbarium.
