Shirley Taylor
Shirley Taylor, 79, of Boynton Beach, FL died on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the home of her sister, Sandy Foreman in Philipsburg, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Bruce E. and Pauline F. (Walker) Lape, born on May 17, 1934 in Somerset, PA. She married Kenneth Taylor on April 28, 1990 in New York, N.Y.; he preceded her in death in 2002.
Shirley was a Methodist by faith. She was employed as an office supervisor with the Morgan Guarantee Trust Co. of New York, NY and was a 1952 graduate of the Punxsutawney High School.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by: two sisters Sandra L. Foreman and her husband, Bill of Philipsburg, PA, and Doris J. Barilar of Lititz, PA; a sister in law Doris Farrel and her husband Gene of Manasquan, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday May 3, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg, PA with Rev. Mark Thurma officiating. Visitation will be Saturday May 3, 2013 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Somerset County Memorial Park, Somerset, PA.
