Elsie E. Stratton

Elsie E. Stratton, 73, of Gearhartville, RD Philipsburg, PA died on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg, PA.

Born on September 13, 1941 in Woodland, PA she was the daughter of the late Cecil E. Dixon, Sr. and Rosanna (Juker) Dixon.  She married Edward L. “Ted” Stratton on January, 21 1974 in Windburne, PA.  She is also survived by her companion of 11 years, Joseph Bennett, who survives at home, and her baby of four years Samantha.

Mrs. Stratton was Protestant by faith.  She had worked with the original Presbyterian Home in Philipsburg, PA and later with Windy Hill Village of Philipsburg, for 41 years until retiring.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: one sister, Jean Galentine; and two brothers, Cecil A. Dixon Jr., and Larry Dixon.

She is survived by: two sisters, Thelma Korb of Meridan, CT, and Mildred Korb of Meriden, CT; and three brothers, William Dixon of Philipsburg, PA, John Dixon of Reynoldsville, PA and Bob Dixon of Woodland, PA.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, PA, with Rev. Timothy D. Richmond officiating.  Burial will be at the Centre Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.

Visitation will be Monday, January 19, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
