Lillian J. Stine

Lillian J. Stine, 90, of (South) Philipsburg and formerly of (New Liberty) RD Philipsburg, died Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Lillian was born on June 3, 1930, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late George and Kate (Barto) Harris.

Lillian was a 1948 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. She was employed as a floor supervisor with the General Cigar plant formerly located in (North) Philipsburg.

She was married on July 11, 1948, in Tyrone, to Gerald G. “George” Stine, who preceded her in death on January 8, 2016.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Gerald L. “Jerry” Stine; one great-great grandson, Nicholas; two sisters, Edna Ross and Bertha Cook; and six brothers: George, James, Ord, Evan, John “Jack,” and Carl Harris.

Lillian is survived by one daughter, Carol J. Walker and her husband, Henry, of (South) Philipsburg; one son, David Stine and his wife, Verna, of Rome, Georgia; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other extended family members.

There will be no public visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Centre Cemetery, RD Osceola Mills.
