Lisa Marie Sherwood

Lisa Marie (Polachek) Sherwood, 43, of Clearfield, died November 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the residence of Theresa J.  “Terri” and Anthony “Tony” Beveridge, Allport.

Lisa was born on July 20, 1980, in (North) Philipsburg, a daughter of Theresa J. “Terri” (Polachek) Beveridge; and Terri’s husband, Anthony “Tony” Beveridge, who loved Lisa as his own daughter.

Lisa was a 1998 graduate of the West Branch Area High School. Following high school, she attended The Pennsylvania State University and the University of Maryland.

During her working career, she was employed with Legends Sports Bar & Grill, Clearfield.

Lisa is survived by her mother, Terri, and Terri’s husband, Tony, of Allport; a daughter, Kaylee N. Sherwood, at home in Clearfield; aunts and uncles: Barbara Polachek, of Curwensville, Sally and Michael Polachek, Jr., of Hawk Run, Bernadine and Paul Carr, of Morrisdale and Fran Weldon, of Philipsburg; numerous cousins; her former husband, Dave Sherwood; and her two beloved felines, Sully and Charlie.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Aaron Michael; and her maternal grandparents, Josephine (Brnik) Polachek and Michael Polachek, Sr.

Lisa was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Clearfield. She had served as an Assistant Coach with the Clearfield Junior High Girls Basketball program, a past VP of the Clearfield Area High School Band Boosters and a past officer of the St. Francis PTO.

Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Kaylee and tending to her feline companions.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Clearfield, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 10 am, with Fr. Robert J. Horgas, celebrant.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg.
