Beverly J. “Boots” Ryver

Beverly J. “Boots” Ryver, 85, of RD Philipsburg, died Monday, October 2, 2023, at her residence.

Beverly was born on December 6, 1937, in (North) Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Henrietta (Starling) Wood.

She was a graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.

Beverly was employed as an office manager throughout her working career; first with the former Thompson Coal Company and then with the former RT Merryman Trucking Company.

She was a member of the New Life Center and the (South) Philipsburg Christian Missionary & Alliance Church. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Club; and for many years, coordinated Bible Study groups at her home.

Beverly was married on May 3, 1958, in Philipsburg, to William L. Ryver, who survives at home.

She is also survived by two daughters, Lynne A. Williams and her husband, Tim, of (South) Philipsburg and Valarie J. Kelley, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; four grandchildren: Jenna Neff and her husband, Craig, Justin Williams and his wife, Breanna, Chase Kelley and Brooks Kelley; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Bolser and her husband, Rev. Dudley Bolser; and numerous other extended family members.

Beverly was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy “Arch” Wood, in addition to her parents.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience the family.

Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
