Judy M. Rice

Judy M. Rice, 80, of Hawk Run, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Judy was born on January 15, 1939, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Milton and Mary (Gearhart) Dixon.

She was a 1956 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.

She was married on November 29, 1969, in Osceola Mills, to James M. Rice, who survives at home.

Judy is also survived by two daughters: Brenda Sinclair and her companion, Rusty Green, of Bellefonte and Melanie Dickson and her husband, Gaylon, of Weatherly, (Pa); two sons, Mark Fetters and his wife, Denise, of Philipsburg and James Rice, Jr. and his fiancée Sandy Mays, of Milan, Ohio; twelve grandchildren: Brandy O’Hare and her husband, Bernie, Mark Fetters, Jr., Kaylee Fetters, Lucas Fetters, Michael Sinclair, Robert Sinclair, Steven Dickson and his wife, Josette, Courtney Dickson, Dylan Mays, Mariah Mays, Matthew Rice and Alyssa Rice; six great-grandchildren: Finley and Cargan O’Hare, Tayla Dorbolo, Belle Dickson, and Aubree and Breelyn Mays; two sisters, Joyce Cowfer, of Osceola Mills and Linda Thomas and her husband, Ronald, of Houtzdale; two brothers, Sanford Dixon and his wife, Betty, of Clearfield and James Dixon and his wife, Carolyn, of Lakeland, Florida; a brother-in-law, Merle Gonder, of (Black Moshannon) RD Philipsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Judy was preceded in death by one son, Gregory J. Fetters, Sr.; one grandson, Gregory J. Fetters, Jr.; and one sister, Carol Gonder, in addition to her parents.

Judy was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed cruising in her classic cars; rooting for her favorite teams: the Pirates, Steelers and the Nittany Lions; spending winters in Florida; and most of all, spending time with her family.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
