Mark M. Quick, Sr.

Mark M. Quick, Sr., 56, of Philipsburg, died, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his residence.

Mark was born on January 17, 1966, in Philipsburg, a son of Elmer T. Quick and Shirley L. (Stone) Quick Weaver, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was a 1984 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School and the Masonry Program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center.

Mark was employed with numerous area businesses throughout his working career and was known as a “Jack of all Trades.” Some of these businesses include: Scotts Pools, Drifting, Thomas Ibberson Construction, Osceola Mills, Penn Pallet, Woodland and the maintenance department at Lion’s Gate Apartments, State College.

Mark was a social member of the Philipsburg American Legion, Post #437 and the Philipsburg AMVETS, Post#159. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandson.

Mark is survived by his son, Mark M. Quick, Jr., of Chester Hill; one grandson, Gryson Michael Leigey, of Chester Hill; a sister, Tina Lynne Matson, of Chester Hill; a niece, Ashley Dawn Matson, of Sandy Ridge; a nephew, Caleb James Matson, of Chester Hill; and his longtime companion, Tina Patrick, of Osceola Mills.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 2 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, with David Knepp, officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until the time of the service.

Interment will be in Centre Cemetery, RD Osceola Mills.
