Photo of William PritchardWilliam C. Pritchard, Jr., 75, of Philipsburg, died Friday, February 8, 2019, at Windy Hill Village, PSL, Philipsburg.

William was born on January 14, 1944, in Philipsburg, a son of the late William C. (Sr.) and Sarah (Johnson) Pritchard.

He was a 1961 graduate of Philipsburg – Osceola Area High School. Following high school, he went to work for his father’s business, Pritchard’s Arco Service Station, formerly located in Philipsburg. After approximately 25 years at the service station, he accepted a position in 1988 as a storeroom assistant for the Housing / Food Service Department at Penn State. He would be employed with Penn State until his retirement in 2010. Following his retirement, he held a part-time position as a deliveryman for Moshannon Valley Pharmacy.

He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. As a member of the church, he had previously served on the church council. William was also a member of the B.P.O.Elks, Lodge #1173 and a social member of the AMVETS, Post 0159, both of Philipsburg.

William was married on October 5, 1996, in the courtyard of Trinity United Methodist Church, Philipsburg, to the former Mary Kay Krollman. Mary Kay preceded him in death on December 9, 2017.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Stacia Lynne Pritchard-Eggers and one sister, Sally P. Husted.

William is survived by three daughters: Robin May Sipple and her husband, Jeff, of Clearfield, Kimberly Ann Pritchard, of Erie and Holly Christine Vroman and her husband, Jeff, of Sandy Ridge; eight grandchildren; his late wife’s two sons, James E. Matson and his companion, Vickie Price and Jason M. Morris and his wife, Jennifer, all of Philipsburg; a special friend and companion, Mary Fryer, of Philipsburg; and numerous other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 11 am at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. Christine Roe, officiating.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 6 to 8 pm; and on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The B.P.O. Elks Lodge # 1173 will conduct a memorial service at 7 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
