Dorothy M. “Dot” Phillips – Guestbook Entries

Gary Johnson, Charlotte, NC

My condolences to the Phillips family. I worked with Dot many years ago at the Harbor Inn when I was in High School. I very much remember her great sense of humor and that she was indeed a hard worker. She was always very kind to me too. It was my first job then and she took the time to make me feel comfortable. I am not surprised that she remained so active all these years. I am glad to see that she had a long life!

I will miss talking with "Dot". Her and Mom (Mildred Vaughn Heiser) would always enjoy talking with each other at the Vaughn Family Reunions. Of course, you didn't call her Dorothy Mae!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!! She would give you a look if you forgot, and wait until you called her "Dot"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will miss her and look forward to that day when the Vaughns will have a GREAT family reunion with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Love you all. Dave

My mother, Katie, considered Dot a dear friend for many years until her passing December 2014. Through mom, We were blessed to know Dot also. She was gracious & kind to us.
Our deepest sympathy to all of Dot's family.

I had the privilege to care for miss Dorothy during my training for HelpMates and a few times as a fill in for her normal aides and I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to know such a wonderful woman. She was so wise and never failed to put a smile on my face as well as everyone else I've seen around her. I sure am going to miss her and her life stories about her journey here on earth! Although I'm sad to hear of her passing, I'm so excited for her to live an everlasting life free of all her pain!

Rest in Peace to my beautiful friend...
