Sussie Petriskie

Sussie Petriskie, 91, of (Troy) RD Philipsburg, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

Born on September 24, 1926, in Royal Oak, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late John and Anne (Slother) Swartz.

Sussie was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Philipsburg.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, working crossword puzzles and she was an accomplished seamstress. She was a self-taught typist and pianist.

She was married on June 20, 1945, in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Cumberland, Maryland, to Frank Petriskie, who preceded her in death on August 29, 1988.

Sussie was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joanne Shalla; three brothers: Michael, Paul and George Swartz; two half-sisters, Becky Stauffer and Anna Brelo; and two half-brothers, Auman and Andrew Brelo, in addition to her parents and husband.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen R. Petriskie, of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Susan Jean Sharer and her husband, Boyd, of (Troy) RD Philipsburg; one son, Frank G. Petriskie, of West Decatur; one sister, Sophie Rebo, of Clearfield; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Burial Office will be on Friday, December 15, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. Fr. Robert McKay, IV, Officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 14, 2017, from 6 to 9 pm at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, and on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 9 am until the time of the service.

Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
