Mary K. (Morse) Parsons

Mary K. Parsons, 66, of Philipsburg, was Heaven bound Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Mary was born on March 18, 1955, in Edgerton, Wisconsin, a daughter of William H. Morse, Jr. and Margaret (Miller) Morse, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mary was a 1973 graduate of State College High School and a 1978 graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Mary was married on June 6, 2003, in (Old Fort) Centre Hall, to Scott M. Parsons, who survives at home.

She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, (Hudson) RD Philipsburg. Earlier in her life, when she lived in Gibsonia, she was active in youth ministry in the Pittsburgh area.

Mary loved working with children. She was employed for many years with LearnRight; and she was also employed as a private tutor. Later in her career, she was employed with Yvonne B. Reedy, Psychology and Counseling Services, Philipsburg, until her retirement.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, Scott, by two daughters, Megan, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Brynne McHugh (Brian), of Lancaster; one sister, Beth Neusch (Doug), of Elkton, Maryland; and two brothers, Mike Morse (Karen), of Spruce Creek and Patrick Morse (Susan), of Port Matilda. Mary was extremely proud of her two grandchildren, Owen and Reagan McHugh, of Lancaster. She dearly loved her nephew, Willie “Mr. Bill,” of Harrisburg and her niece, Hallie, of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by a niece, Rachel Parent (Matthew), of Colorado; her former husband, Terry Colabrese, of Gibsonia; and two lifelong friends, Tessie Olsen and Jeannie Cocolin, who will dearly miss her.

Mary had the faith of a child and loved reading her Bible. She loved the simple things in life that she shared with her husband, Scott.

A memorial service will be held at a future date with arrangements to be announced.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, 236 Scott Lane, Philipsburg, Pa 16866
