N. Jean Kashella

N. Jean Kashella, 80, of (North) Philipsburg, stepped out of her earthly temple on Friday, December 18, 2020, more alive than ever before, into the arms of her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. Before her homecoming, while she was still with us, she was a faithful believer in Christ. She was an active member of the Jubilee Christian Center, in Hyde and was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend.

Jean was born on September 20, 1940, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Kathryn (Test) Hudak.

Jean was a 1958 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. She furthered her education at the Adelle Allen School of Beauty Culture and at the Northeastern College Bible Institute.

Early in her working career, she had been employed as a beautician. She was also a published author. Her book, “Beyond the Moment,” is a story of God and His grace, love and loss.

Jean was married on March 10, 1978, in Philipsburg, to Robert John Kashella, who preceded her in death on August 24, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, John Robert Hudak.

Jean is survived by one sister, Dorothy Louise Beveridge and one brother, Andrew Lee Hudak, both of Philipsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Messiah Baptist Cemetery, Lanse.
