Donald Edward Moss
Donald Edward Moss, 56, of Philipsburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Donald was born on March 17, 1967, in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, a son of Margaret Ruth (Bloom) Stachowski, who survives of Osceola Mills and the late John Thomas Moss.
Donald was a 1985 graduate of the Bellefonte Area High School and attended the Pennsylvania State University.
Donald was an accomplished and gifted construction contractor. His business, D.E.M. Construction, featured high end residential construction projects.
Donald was married on September 27, 2013, at the Cold Stream Amphitheater, Philipsburg, to the former Stephanie C. Bordas, who survives at home.
He is also survived by his two daughters, Laurel and LeElla Moss, both of Finleyville, Pa.; a son, Michael Moss, of Finleyville, Pa; a step-son, Steven Jones and his wife, Kelcey, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; seven step-grandchildren: Christina Bordas, of Burbank, California, Cassandra Maines and her husband, Bruce, of Mineral Springs, John Paul Bordas, II, Eric Bordas and his wife, Clarissa and Ryan Bordas, all of Philipsburg; two sisters, Carol Zener and her companion, George Smith, of West Decatur and Gloria McCambridge, of Spring Mills; one brother, John Thomas “Tom” Moss, of Osceola Mills; his beloved four legged friends: Jackson, Buddy, Sebastian and Lucy; his dear friend that he loved like a sister, Judy Morrow, of Philipsburg; his mother-in-law, Sandra D. “Sandy” Bordas, of (North) Philipsburg; his ex-wife, Rebecca Campbell Moss, of Finleyville; and numerous other extended family members.
Donald was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Paul Bordas, with whom he was especially close; in addition to his father.
Among his favorite pastimes, Donald enjoyed riding his Harley; shooting pool; and his true passion in life, “tinkering” in his garage and around the house.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
