Barbara Ann Mencer

Barbara Ann Mencer, 59, of Hollidaysburg, and formerly of Philipsburg, died Thursday, December 31, 2020, at UPMC Altoona.

Barbara was born on November 9, 1961, in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Barbara J. (Houston) Belko and Robert T. Belko, who survives of (North) Philipsburg.

Barbara was a 1979 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. She also graduated from the LPN program at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center.

She was employed as an LPN and O.R. receptionist with the former Philipsburg Area Hospital. She was a member and past officer of the Hollidaysburg American Legion Auxiliary, Post #516; and a Life Member of the Hope Fire Co., Philipsburg.

Barbara was an avid college football fan and her two favorite teams were the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Clemson Tigers. She also loved spending time at the beach with her family and friends. Her favorite beach could be best described as “anywhere on the east coast.”

Barbara was married on April 30, 1983, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, in Philipsburg, to Charles E. Mencer, III, who survives at home.

She is also survived by two daughters, Julie Dadali and her husband, Jack, of Norfolk, Va. and Meg Monteforte and her husband, Matthew, of Menifee, Calif.; one son, Timothy Mencer and his wife, Krista, of Osceola Mills; three grandchildren: Landyn Monteforte, Nora Mencer, Parker Mencer and “one on the way,” Nolan Monteforte; three sisters: Betsy M. Clark, of Allport, Jean E. Harris and her husband, Jeff, of (North) Philipsburg and Kelly J. Foreman and her husband, Tom, of RD Philipsburg; one brother, Michael C. Belko and his wife, Brenda, of Centre Hall; and numerous other extended family members.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Philipsburg.
