Louise B. Medzie
Louise B. Medzie, 86, a life long resident of Philipsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital in Clearfield, PA.
She was the daughter of the late Stephen & Julia (Thomas) Bilanich, born on May 25, 1926 in Philipsburg, PA. She was married to George E. Medzie who preceded her in death on May 5, 1986.
Mrs. Medzie was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Philipsburg, PA. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1785 in Clearfield, PA and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, in Clearfield, PA.
She was formerly employed as a supervisor of the former 11th Street Plant of Charles Navasky & Co. in Philipsburg, PA.
Mrs. Medzie is survived by: a son, Kenneth S. Medzie, Attorney at Law of Wallingford, PA; three sisters, Margaret Harvey of Clearfield, PA, Leona Franek of RD Philipsburg, PA, and Gale Vance of Philipsburg, PA; and a granddaughter, Rachel Gwen Medzie of Wallingford, PA.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg, PA, with Rev. Joseph Staszewski officiating. There will be no public visitation.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
