Dr. Diane E. McPherson
Dr. Diane E. McPherson, 55, of Philipsburg, died Monday, April 3, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, due to heart and lung complications.
Diane was born on June 24, 1967, in North Carolina, a daughter of the late Dr. Albert “Jack” Brown and Rosalie “Joan” (Carles) Brown.
Diane graduated in 1984 from Bellefonte Christian Academy. She was also a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and earned her Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) from ATSU.
Diane was married on March 12, 1994, at a Lutheran church in Minnesota, to Michael McPherson. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2004.
Dr. McPherson practiced as an audiologist in Minnesota from 1995 until 2008. She then moved back to Pennsylvania and worked for Philipsburg Hearing Services. She purchased the practice in July 2015.
Diane is survived by one son, David McPherson, of Philipsburg; two sisters, Susan Brown of Philipsburg and Dr. Jacqueline Huber and her husband, Carey, of Houtzdale.
Diane attended the New Life Center.
She was a loving mother, sister and friend.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2:30 pm, at the New Life Center, 111 S. 2nd. Street, Philipsburg, with Rev. John Dill, officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope, Minnesota.
