Edward T. “Ted” Long

Photo of Edward T. "Ted" LongEdward T. “Ted” Long, 52, of Philipsburg, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at his residence.

He was born on April 8, 1966, in Philipsburg, a son of the late Edward L. Long and Shirley M. (Thompson) Long.

Ted was a 1984 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School. Following high school, he attended Penn State and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

He was the owner / operator of Long Motor Buses, Inc., Philipsburg.

Ted was a member of the Wolf Rock Camp, (Black Moshannon) and the B.P.O.Elks #1173, Philipsburg.

Ted was married on July 12, 1990, on the island of Maui, to the former Esther E. Cisney, who survives at home.

He is also survived by one son, Aaron M. Long, of State College; a half-sister, Barbara A. Belko, of Philipsburg; and a number of extended family members.

He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Dick Robbins, in addition to his parents.

“Ted will be fondly remembered as a dedicated worker, the life of every party, captain of “Long Enough,” and as a devoted husband and father.”

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 14, 2018, from Noon until 3:00 pm, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg.
