Rosella P. Lombardo

Rosella P. Lombardo, 91, of Philipsburg died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Graystone Manor in Altoona.

Born March 3, 1925 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Smerick) Pavlick.

She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg and was a 1944 graduate of the Philipsburg High School.

Mrs. Lombardo had been employed with the General Cigar Company of Philipsburg for over 35 years, until retiring.

On August 23, 1964 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg she married Donald J. Lombardo. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2010.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret “Peg” Eberwein, Mary Bennett, Katherine Sandy, and Frances “Tillie” Albert; and three brothers, Charles, Michael, and George Pavlick.

Mrs. Lombardo is survived by a son, William L. Pavlick and his fiancee, Jane McDowell of Philipsburg; two sisters, Anna Twoey of Philipsburg, and Esther Potter of Bellemeade; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg with Rev. John Gibbons as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Philipsburg.

Friends will be received on Sunday, March 27, 2016, from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg.

The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
